Kicking the month of February off, we had another one of our annual VIP sales event where again I’d be working the whole weekend! This time, I was in for the lead up to the event, so got to see more of how the event is set up from a marketing point of view. We had a team from Rhino come in to dress the showroom which was exciting to see as it completely changed the atmosphere of the whole dealership! Again, similar to the previous event, I used social media carefully to ensure none of the exclusivity or attention was drawn away from the event. My favourite post from the whole event did have the underlying basis of the event, but with a personal touch which I used as I know that using staff in posts is what my particular audience likes to see. Martin, one of our Sales Executives turned 60 during our event, so as a Happy Birthday to him, I used him on our Facebook page.
The week following the VIP event was the National Apprentice Week where apprentices up and down the country are celebrated. For this, each dealership was sent a box full of goodies for their apprentices. Inside it contained a pair of wireless earphones, an apprentice mug and some sweeties. Again, I decided that this would be a great opportunity to highlight this week to our online audience.. for once I was on the other side of the camera!
Towards the end of February, I was also given the opportunity to complete a day long first aid course. Although I’d hope I’d never want to use anything I learnt on this course, this is an incredible opportunity as this will be able to go onto my CV.
